Shift Shop Day 10 – Speed:35

We’ve been at this for a little while now, so you know that I didn’t do well with waking up this morning. I’m beginning to wonder if there is another time in the day that I can do this workout thing. I know there isn’t, but that doesn’t stop me from debating myself on the hour of my workout.

I got started a little late but the intensity was there. Instead of running for 10 minutes around my neighborhood, I took to the sidewalk and ran down the street. This was a change of scenery and exactly what I needed. I have memorized the workout right in time for a change. I powered through the workout being proud of myself because I didn’t have to take so many breaks while doing my mountain climbers. However, I am starting to feel a little strain on my back while doing squats and my knees are starting to give out on me a little. So, I modify when that happens.

I finished this morning’s workout in 45:54 minutes and burned 333 active calories and 402 total calories. My average heart rate was 138BPM.

I did intermittent fasting again today. I broke my fast with the same trailmix, except today I only had 1 tablespoon of the indulgent mix and 1/4c of the tropical mix. Lunch was the cheese topping of 2 slices of pizza, I didn’t eat the crust, 4 baked wings, and a salad with Olive Garden Dressing along with 1c pineapple. During the work day I was able to put away 7 cups of water. I added that to the 2 cups of water I drank this morning during my workout.

After work I went to choir rehearsal and bible study. It was 7:30 when that was finished and I didn’t get home until 8:45pm after stopping to the store to rack up on some Purex in wash crystals that were BOGO and I had coupons for. I ended up getting 4 and paying $3.45 for all 4 and got a rain check for 8 more that I will pick up on Friday. Needless to say I was TIRED.

I walked in the house, dropped my bag, said hello to my husband and changed my clothes and thought I would go straight into the workout. I didn’t! I decided that the better idea was to do my laundry chore while the children were bathing so that I could make sure everything I needed to be done got done before I worked out and in the event I didn’t get to the workout I could always double up later.

I finally got started working out and it was about 9:40 and the workout ended at 10:19 per my Apple Watch. I was tired and sore, so that led to me mostly doing modified moves. Nonetheless, I still managed to get a decent burn in. I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but I do not like Speed:35. It’s not that it’s a bad workout, but after the morning workout, this is a lot on me. It would be great alone, but together I am wiped afterward. My stats for the workout were as follows: 39:49 minutes, 204 active calories burned 263 total calories and an average heart rate of 115BPM.

I was so tired afterward I skipped dinner and opted to shower and go straight to bed. So, I have to go and accomplish those things before I wake up in the morning to do it all over again.
